Wall Art Size & Frame Guide
Choose a print size to suit your wall, then check the size and finish offered on the individual product listing. Available sizes, materials and framing options vary by design.
Choosing a size
- 13 × 18 cm: a small accent for a shelf, desk or compact gallery wall.
- A4 (21 × 29.7 cm): suitable for smaller wall spaces or grouped prints.
- A3 (29.7 × 42 cm): a useful starting point for a home office, hallway or bedside wall.
- A2 (42 × 59.4 cm): a larger print for a bedroom or living-room wall.
- A1 (59.4 × 84.1 cm): suitable for a larger wall where you want the artwork to be a focal point.
These are our usual sizes, but not every design is available in every size. Cut paper to the dimensions you are considering and place it against your wall to judge the fit.
Other sizes you may find
Some designs offer 20 × 30, 30 × 40, 40 × 60 or 50 × 70 cm options. The smallest works well as an accent, 30 × 40 cm suits a smaller standalone display, and the larger options suit more spacious walls. Always use the measurements on your chosen listing.
Choosing a frame
Match the frame's stated print size to the exact dimensions of your chosen print. A4 is not the same size as 20 × 30 cm, and A3 is not the same size as 30 × 40 cm. If using a mount, check its opening and the frame dimensions before buying.
Are frames included?
Check the selected option and product description. An option labelled “No Frame” or “unframed” does not include a frame. Do not assume a frame is included because one appears in a styling photo.
Is the print ready to hang?
An unframed print needs a suitable frame, poster hanger or other display method chosen by you. For framed or canvas options, check the listing for assembly requirements and included hanging hardware. Follow your display supplier's instructions for your wall surface.
Physical prints and digital downloads
A physical print is a printed item that requires shipping. A digital download is a file-only purchase: no physical print or frame is sent. You arrange printing and framing separately.
Download contents and supported print sizes vary by design. Check the listing for the supplied files and dimensions before purchasing. Choose a file with the same proportions as your intended print size to avoid cropping or distortion, and check whether its measurements are in centimetres or inches.
You can print a digital file at home or use a local or online print service. The finished result depends on the file, printer, paper and settings used.
